Website privacy notice

How Advisory Wizard Ltd handles personal data collected through advisorywizard.com.

The short version. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no tracking of any kind. Nothing on it is loaded from another company's servers. If you email us, we hold that email, and nothing else.

Who we are

Advisory Wizard Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are a company registered in Wales, company number 17336751, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZC218711. Our registered office is Dynevor House, 5–6 De La Beche Street, Swansea, SA1 3HA. You can reach us at support@advisorywizard.com.

This notice covers the website only. The Advisory Wizard platform used by adviser firms is governed by a separate privacy and AI notice, and by the data processing agreement we hold with each firm. In that relationship the advice firm is the controller of its clients' data and Advisory Wizard Ltd acts as its processor.

What this website collects

The demo-request form

If you use the demo-request form, the details you enter (your name, and the firm, email address, adviser count and message if you give them) are sent directly to our application server, which emails them to us and stores nothing. This website itself never stores your submission, and no third party is involved at any point. We use those details only to respond to your request; the lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you chose to make. If you would rather not use the form, the same address works by email.

Cookies and analytics: none

This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage, and runs no analytics, advertising, tracking or session-recording software. All fonts, images and styles are served from our own domain, so visiting this site does not disclose your visit to any third party. That is why you are not being asked to accept a cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard technical logs when a page is served: the IP address making the request, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. These are generated automatically by the web server, are used only to keep the site available and secure, and are retained for a short period by the provider before deletion. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, specifically operating and protecting our own website.

If you email us

The links on this site open your own email client; there is no web form and no data is submitted to us through the page itself. If you choose to email us, we receive whatever you put in that email (typically your name, your email address, your firm and what you are asking about) and we use it to respond to you and, if you become a customer, to manage that relationship. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests where you are enquiring on behalf of a business, and steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract where relevant.

How long we keep things

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing. The only third parties who handle data connected with this website are the suppliers who make it work: our website hosting provider, and our email provider. Both act on our instructions under contract. We do not use your enquiry, or any client information, to train artificial intelligence models.

Where it is held

Website hosting and email are provided within the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. Where any supplier processes data outside the UK, we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object at any time and we will stop unless we have compelling grounds not to.

To exercise any of these, email support@advisorywizard.com. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this notice

If we add a contact form, analytics or any other processing to this website, we will update this notice before doing so and change the date below.
